According to the unanimous decision of the Arbitration Court of the Economic and Social Council (CES), the minimum services required involving the realization of all flights of TAP and PGA binding to the Azores and Madeira during the three days of strike.

The minimum services also predict the performance of two single flights to Angola and two back during the stoppage and one way and another back to Guinea.

For Brazil will have to be provided two flights and two others back in each day strike.

For each of the three days of strike are still provided an outward flight to France and another back, as well as Luxembourg and the United Kingdom.

The link Portugal to Switzerland will be two flights and two other back during the stoppage.

The minimum services provided to force a SATA daily air link between the mainland and other islands of the Azores, where such links exist normally.

The three arbitrators considered still "holding mandatory" return flights to Lisbon and Porto, flights emergency to ensure the safety of persons and property, all military flights and all flights of State.

The tribunal, chaired by Luis Menezes Leitao said in the judgment published by the ESC, the decision took into account the "prolonged duration of the strike," the time that will take place (Easter) and the possibility of crowding of passengers at airports could jeopardize the safety of persons and property.

According to the labor law, the nine unions that called the strike will have to ensure the provision of minimum services, identifying workers who will ensure the services.

The unions representing the workers of TAP and SATA PGA delivered the notice of strike for days 21, 22 and 23 March in protest against wage cuts in the company area.

In February TAP implemented certain wage cuts for civil servants and private sector companies in the State, involving reductions between 3.5% and 10% for salaries above 1,500 euros.
