Turin rail strike by Trenitalia for 8 hours, 9am to 5pm on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Your train will be subject to change.
Italian Air Traffic Controllers Strike
Italian air traffic controllers strike is planned for Sunday, May 28, 2017. 10am - 6pm. It's possible strike action could be deferred yet again. More news out closer to the date.

SATA Azores and SATA International
Sata cabin crew union National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC) have put in strike notice for
Monday, Tuesday, May 1st and 2nd.
It’s not just flight attendants, reservations, and ground crews.
Flights to Ponte Delgada and Terceira and the mainland will be assured with TAP Portugal EasyJet and Ryanair.
Minimum service Lisbon - Pico, Lisbon- Horta
Your flight will likely be brought forward, delayed or even cancelled. More information out closer to strike date.
SATA notice minimal help. Expect them to post more information, perhaps Saturday night, Sunday am. Union does not rule out more industrial action in the future.
AIRPORT SECURITY STRIKE
Saturday 29 April, 2017 Portuguese airport security, Union of Aviation Workers and Airports (Sitava), Prosegur and Securitas company workers threaten strike action between May 13 -17th at all Portuguese airports.
This includes Azores and Madeira May 12th and 13th May when the Pope visits Fatima shrine.
May 13 -17, 2017 union is arranging 24 hour strikes.
Get to your Portuguese airport at least three hours early. Bring minimum hand luggage to get through customs fast. Stay in close contact with your airline.
This is an old dispute which has been going on what seems like for years. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail at the last minute and knock sense into them. Skelton screw (freudian slip, oops) will be in place.

The National Federation of Public and Social Service Workers Unions (FNSTFPS) announce a 24 hour national strike May 26, 2017.
This union consists mainly of health and education workers will encourage other unions to join in.
